GROW YOUR WAY, FROM START TO HARVEST

Keep mushroom growing simple with our MushBag™ All-In-One Grow Kits. Sterilised grain and substrate are combined in a single grow bag, giving you everything needed for colonisation and fruiting in one compact setup with minimal preparation.

01 What is an All-In-One Mushroom Grow Kit?

An All-In-One Mushroom Grow Kit combines the grain and substrate needed for mushroom cultivation in a single sterile grow bag. With our MushBag™ All-In-One Grow Kit, there is no need to prepare and transfer separate grain and substrate. The mushrooms can colonise and fruit using the same convenient setup.

02 Are All-In-One Mushroom Grow Kits suitable for beginners?

Yes. The MushBag™ is designed to make mushroom growing straightforward, even if you have no previous experience. Everything is contained within one grow bag, helping to reduce the amount of preparation, equipment and handling involved compared with more advanced growing methods.

03 What is inside a MushBag™ All-In-One Grow Kit?

Each MushBag™ contains 1.5kg of our proprietary millet, milo grain and CVG substrate blend. The CVG contains coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum, creating a nutrient-rich growing medium for the mycelium. The mixture is hydrated to field capacity and sterilised before it reaches you.

04 What mushrooms can I grow with an All-In-One Grow Kit?

Our all-in-one substrate blend has been formulated for a wide variety of gourmet mushrooms. Popular choices include Lion's Mane, Oyster and Shiitake mushrooms.

05 Does the MushBag™ come with a mushroom culture?

No. The MushBag™ is supplied non-inoculated so you can choose the gourmet mushroom species you want to grow. A liquid culture or other suitable inoculant is purchased separately.

06 How do you use an All-In-One Mushroom Grow Bag?

Before starting, we recommend reading our full MushBag™ All-In-One Mushroom Grow Kit Guide so you can follow each stage correctly and reduce the risk of contamination or other issues.

In general, the process is simple: inoculate the bag through the injection port with your chosen gourmet mushroom culture, then allow the mycelium to colonise the substrate. At around 30% mycelium coverage, the bag is mixed thoroughly. Once fully colonised, the mushrooms can be fruited directly from the bag or moved into a suitable fruiting environment.

07 How long does a MushBag™ take to grow mushrooms?

Growing times vary depending on the mushroom species and environmental conditions. As a general guide, the MushBag™ growing process allows around 4–6 weeks between inoculation and moving towards harvest, although some grows may take longer.

08 What conditions does an All-In-One Mushroom Grow Kit need?

The ideal conditions depend on the mushroom species you’re growing, so it’s always best to follow the requirements for that specific variety.

As a general guide, MushBag™ kits are typically kept at around 24–27°C during colonisation and 21–24°C during fruiting. Fruiting also requires suitable humidity, fresh air exchange and indirect or ambient light.

09 How should I store an unused MushBag™?

We recommend using your MushBag™ reasonably soon after it arrives. If you are not ready to use it straight away, store the substrate bag in the fridge. When refrigerated correctly, the kit should last for at least 12 months.
